The Outlaw Great Ocean Paddle
Want to push your paddling to the next level? Want to explore some of Victoria’s best coastlines, all while having the ride of your life? Then it’s time to get downwind and dirty at Victoria’s only true downwind ocean racing series.
The marquee event of the series is the 26-kilometre Great Ocean Paddle (Graeme Long Memorial Trophy), from Urquhart’s Bluff to Torquay, taking in the the iconic towering cliffs of Bell’s Beach and Winkipop. This event attracts some of the best ocean paddlers in the country, so be prepared to paddle your heart out.
But don’t worry if you’re not a pro. With a half-course options, plus plenty of water safety on the day, paddlers of all abilities are invited to get wet. Find out what happens when the wind, swell and scenery all turn it on at once!
The second race of the season is the Battle of Barwon Heads at the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula town of Barwon Heads. Taking in the iconic river as well as the surf off the Heads, this race will have something for everyone, with two ski/OC course options, and two SUP course options.
